Auntie Eva’s Children’s Trust
A Loving Memory Fund set up to commemorate the Life of Eva Brown
The Auntie Eva’s Children’s Trust fund has been set up by the family to celebrate the life and love of their dear mother, Eva Brown affectionately known as Auntie Eva. The legacy fund is to be invested with Forever Notts to provide small grants supporting children and young people across Nottingham City.
Auntie Eva’s Children’s Trust is run in partnership with Forever Notts – Community Foundation for Nottinghamshire.

“Auntie Eva”
Eva Brown (nee Day) married and moved to Wollaton in Nottingham in the early 1970s, where she spent over 50 years supporting children, young people, and their families.
She was known by many people as “Auntie Eva”, for her dedication to local families, having fostered and childminded over 100 children for Nottingham City Council. She continued to be a registered Childminder into her mid-eighties, and was also a children’s chaperone for Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall Nottingham, Nottingham Playhouse and Central Television.
A life-long Salvationist, Eva ran a Sunday School from the front room of her house for many years and was heavily involved in running the Sunday Schools at Nottingham Aspley and Nottingham William Booth Memorial Halls Salvation Army corps. She was also the Brown Owl at the Aspley Salvation Army for some time.
Auntie Eva’s Children Trust was set up as a legacy of Eva Brown to continue her life’s work by providing small grants to children in the Nottingham City area who need additional support. The focus is on those who don’t qualify for other funding but would still benefit from a little helping hand.
